Policies & disclosures

Replica Disclosure Policy

Part of the Luxuria Fidelis catalogue consists of modern reproductions and replica pieces created for collectors, displays, historical enthusiasts and themed collections. This policy sets out exactly how they are presented.

01

Unambiguous labelling

Any piece that is not an original object of its period carries one or more of the following labels in its listing: REPLICA, REPRODUCTION, DECORATIVE or NON-ORIGINAL. These labels appear on the item listing, in the catalogue grid and on the product record itself.

02

Never described as antiques

No reproduction or replica piece is described as a genuine antique, an original artefact or a period object. Language such as “original”, “period”, “authentic” or “antique” is used only where it is factually correct for the object being described.

03

Purpose and presentation

Reproduction pieces are offered as craftsmanship, study and display objects — for people interested in history, re-enactment, interiors and themed collections. They are presented as the modern objects they are, and photographed in a way that does not imply age they do not possess.

04

Regulated goods

Where an item is subject to legal regulation, this site operates no automated checkout for it. Such items are offered strictly on an enquiry basis so that eligibility, legality and delivery can be assessed before anything is agreed.

05

If in doubt, ask

If it is not clear from a listing whether a piece is original or reproduction, ask before you enquire further. The distinction matters to us and it should matter to you — write to luxuriafidelis@atomicmail.io.
